These Ares Amoeba rifles have a receiver made of high strength nylon which is strong but also lightweight. The outer barrel, front-sight, flash hider, stock tube and some small parts are Metal in construction. The pistol grip has a high angle which is extremely comfortable and is covered with a non-slip texture which improves grip and comfort also. The magazine release catch is enlarged in order to make it easy to operate when wearing gloves. 

The rifle has 20mm rail mounted front & rear iron sights.  The outer barrel has a 14mm CW thread on which the flash hider is mounted.  Thanks to the Amoeba gearbox the spring is Quick Change and can be switched without taking the gearbox out of the rifle. The Amoeba gearbox is strengthened to reduce wear and also comes with an integrated EFCS module - Electronic Firing Control System. This controls the operation of the trigger mechanism, resulting in a very snappy gearbox.  The EFCS also has a built-in MOSFET system.  The rifle can be programmed to Burst and Semi Only etc. with the use of an Amoeba Gearbox Programmer which are available seperately.
