This AEG combines the latest gearbox technology from G&G with their 2 gearbox providing the backbone for the excellent performance of this rifle. The entire gearbox shell has been reinforced to ensure strength and longer life, the included magazine will interrupt the gearbox when it is empty, and will also detect when there is no magazine installed to reduce dry-firing and potential damage. The gearbox also features a quick change spring, which makes adjusting the output power of the AEG as easy as removing the gearbox, and means you don't need to go through a painful disassembly process to increase/decrease the power of this replica.

As with all of G&G's latest offerings, the SR15 E3 features their new MOSFET which is half the size than the previous models and has audible and visible low battery and jammed motor warnings to make the user aware when there are issues, and to reduce further damage. The Electronic Trigger Unit provides a soft trigger pull and can be programmed in seconds to provide burst settings.

Externally, this rifle has high quality CNC machined Aluminium components. A 14mm CCW standard muzzle thread allows for the attachment of silencers, tracers etc. The handguard is a CNC machined Aluminium design which has M-LOK slots, a full-length top 20mm RIS rail as well as QD sling sockets on both sides to quick attach or remove a sling. The receiver is also a full Alloy construction and features a top 20mm rail for optics with a set of flip-up ironsights, as well as ambidextrous controls and Knight's Armament trademarks and other accurate markings. The receiver features ambidextrous controls for the fire selector, magazine release and even the sling plate, which is a QD design offering sockets on either side of the rifle.
