The AKM gas rifle from Tokyo Marui was a project that was being worked on long after the premiere of the M4 MWS replica. As you might expect, the AKM uses the same ZET system found on the M4, which means this AK will probably be one of the most reliable AK replicas on the market today.

Externally, the Home Army is characterized by an exceptional level of attention to detail and even has old Soviet markings. The pistol grip is so well made that it is probably one of the most reminiscent of the original. Although the metal from which the replica was made is a zinc alloy, it is still very durable. On the other hand, the bolt cover, the butt plate, the selector and the cylinder cover are made of steel. The wood grains are expressed as they are by applying a special resin print on the bed and the buttstock. In addition, the manufacturer wanted to reproduce the appearance of the replica as faithfully as possible: the texture of the slide, the grip finished as Bakelite material by painting, and the slide cover made of pressed steel as in the real firearm.

Internally, AKM is based on the same ZET system as in MWS. Which means that the replica is characterized by very high efficiency and repeatability. Thanks to the use of a wider piston (approx. 19 mm), the carabiner has a very strong blow back. Additionally, it is a model with a realistic method of operation by installing an auto stop. After the last BB has been fired from the magazine, it is not possible to cast the so-called "dry shot".
